HUANG Ling-yuan
HUANG Ling-yuan was born in Kaohsiung in
1984 and graduated from the department of motion picture of National Taiwan
University of Arts and a certificate of Study from Graduate Institute of
Studies in documentary and film archiving of National Tainan University of the
Arts. HUANG has been working on documentaries for years. “We, the Drivers” is
awarded by labor award. Her recent work is documentary shorts on artisans.
Synopsis
Drifters is a film about people who move to
the North to strive for living. They work in the theater, hair salon, fashion
design studio, airport and jewelry stores. Taipei means very different to them.
The short documentary points out the relationship between drifter and Taipei.
It is a contrast and conflict of the society.
